There’s something about film that feels different.
Softer, slower, more intentional.
This Lisbon elopement, captured between Pestana Palace and the gardens of Queluz Palace, was photographed entirely on 35mm film - a quiet, intimate day where every frame felt considered, imperfect, and real.
Film doesn’t try to be perfect - and that’s exactly what makes it so beautiful.
The tones are softer, the light feels more natural, and the images carry a sense of depth that’s difficult to recreate digitally. There’s a subtle unpredictability to it, a softness that brings a different atmosphere to the story.
For this elopement, the day unfolded between the historic elegance of Pestana Palace and the pastel tones of Queluz Palace.
Both locations offered something unique - from the quiet, refined interiors to the open gardens filled with soft light - creating the perfect setting for film to truly shine.
Moving between these spaces, the atmosphere remained calm and unhurried. The architecture, textures, and light naturally shaped the story, allowing each moment to feel effortless and connected to its surroundings.
More and more couples are drawn to film because it feels timeless.
It doesn’t follow trends, it doesn’t try too hard - it simply captures the moment as it is. There’s a certain honesty to it, something that feels closer to memory than perfection.

Not to replace digital, but to add another layer - a softer, more nostalgic perspective that sits alongside the full gallery. Film isn’t about having more photos.
It’s about remembering the day in a different way.
