There’s something incredibly special about gathering all your favourite people together before the wedding day officially begins. No strict timelines, no pressure, no grand production, just the people you love, sharing food, wine, stories, and meaningful moments together in an intimate atmosphere.

This beautiful pre-wedding evening took place inside a stunning traditional Lisbon townhouse,  almost like a private maison hidden in the historic heart of the city. The entire house became a setting for the celebration: classic Portuguese tiles, elegant old architecture, open terraces overlooking Lisbon’s rooftops, and breathtaking views towards the castle glowing above the city as the sun slowly disappeared behind the hills.

It felt effortlessly cinematic.

The couple welcomed their closest family and friends for an intimate sunset gathering before their main wedding celebration. What began as a stylish welcome dinner slowly transformed into something much deeper and emotional, a private exchange of vows surrounded only by the people who mattered most to them.

No stage. No audience. Just honesty, emotion, laughter, tears, and golden Lisbon light.

As the evening unfolded, guests gathered around the terrace and pool with cocktails in hand, enjoying incredible food, Portuguese wine, and the warm atmosphere that only Lisbon evenings can create. Everyone looked impossibly elegant, modern fashion mixed with relaxed Mediterranean energy. It felt editorial yet completely natural at the same time.

And honestly, Lisbon could not have been a more perfect backdrop for it all.

The textures of the old walls, the tiled facades, the soft neutral tones of the city, the terracotta rooftops, the fading sunset over Castelo de São Jorge, everything felt timeless, intimate, and deeply personal.

It was such a pleasure to document this evening alongside my talented colleague Marina Muravnik, capturing all the emotion, atmosphere, and quiet beauty of this unforgettable celebration in Lisbon.
